Back in the day when I worked on designing HVAC systems for the transit market, we went with all Deutsch connectors. Lower end equipment for the off-road market got Packard. I still use Deutsch connectors when I mod my rig with electrical stuff.
I was leaning towards Deutsch connectors but have decided on Metripack 150 series instead. One tip for the Deutsch connectors/crimpers. Stamped or Open connectors are stamped from thin steel and are folded into the terminal connector. Solid are a formed solid pin that is much more rigid. You need different crimpers for each style. The stamped/open style works well for most applications and are much cheaper to boot.
