Nice! Excited for you!

Leaving within the hour. 1100 miles up and back. Up is in first class on Delta. Back is in first class in the Avocado! :)

Pictures from the road!

This is a great story... I've often wondered if I could ever let mine go.

Safe travels!

I made it back. 1100 miles, 1 flat tire, and 3 hours in DC road shut down at 2am. The truck pulled through. I have some clean up to do, but I still think this engine is the strongest 1fz I have ever driven. She was pulling 70mph the whole way on 37s and got 13 mpg! I am happy to have her home. Now the tinker list needs to grow, some parts ordered, and I get to get a little dirty fixing the beast. Oh, and I am totally getting new tires.

Keeping the 37s and the lift as is because my 12 year old son is going to learn how to work on/drive in this and I plan on giving it to him when he is 16.

No pics as of yet. I am starting to build my list and get it registered in GA. So far:

Rebuild the front axle. Brakes (rotors and pads). Sort out the CDL (wont engage now for some reason). 5 gallons of engine cleaning and general cleaning. Touch up the spray paint to eliminate surface rust. Stretch the top to make it fit again. Once clean, sort out the PS fluid leak (looks like reservoir to pump, but not sure). Other than that, some fluid baselines and new tires and she will be back at fighting strength.

Anyone have a line on some 37-40" tires? :P

She's locked again. Front CDL indicator switch was bad. $13 and all better. Now I need to get the axles rebuilt, clean up, and some new meats before it gets warm!

Everything is fixed up, and my decision to go another route for my son has led to the sale of this beast yet again. See the link in sig.
