Chapelle has still got it

So I saw where People magazine came out with the sexiest man issue, so like I just had to have a copy. Tell me I got the current. I was in a hurry.

Yes! Enginerd humor.

I have one semester to go for my baby girls degree BS in Theater with minor on children literature. So this hits home hard for me, after all my postgrad work in particle pinning mechanics....

I was meaning to enroll in your feminist dance class, does this mean you are no longer offering it???

The guy I bought new house windows from yesterday was a theatre major. I can put in a good word for your sprout if he's needing an assistant.

I have a friend who's daughter (theatre major) got hired as an office manager because, no sh!t, she told her interviewer that there'd be no drama queens tolerated because there's only room for one...and she has the degree to prove it. Been there 3 years, moved across country, makes double what I do.

Izzy, where is you daughter in school? I ask as our youngest is a Sr. in H.S. in a Fine Arts Center program in Theater & Theater Tech.......we are convinced she will end up a lawyer as she can argue quite dramatically very well!!!

No offense to anyone's offspring here but.................

Getting a degree in theater, really? This means you have a degree in pretending to be someone else for the entertainment of others. Hell, there is an entire generation of them and they are just acting natural.

Izzy's post on changing your major is right on the mark.

Have your kid learn to be a plumber so they can afford to take care of you in retirement :)

I think one of the kids from Goonies grew up to be a big Hollywood lawyer. No shortage of clients LOL

Stan, there are plenty of "trades" in the theater realm - not everyone in film or theater school is there to be an actor. They still need carpenters, electricians, set builders, painters, etc...and with Hollywood losing ground to cities in the SE region (New Orleans to Virginia) there's more demand for "crew" jobs, not just the actors and directors.

I am with you on that Rick. The trades are taught in a degree program? I'd think the trade guys go to the theater after learning their trade, or perhaps during.

Its feminist dance therapy, and is only offered every other semester. I did take Spanish in college to raise my GPA a couple of times until I found out the professor was pro-Fidel Castro (30+ years ago) and I couldn't keep my damn mouth shut. Didn't go as expected...

Wait! What?
A college professor who was pro communism? No way.

If only we'd put Bernie up there.
Then we could all study theater and liberal feminist dance therapy for FREE!

In Vermont, no less! It's been my dream for so many years...

As soon as I read this I immediately thought of the Simpson's episode with Ed Begley Jr and his car powered by his happy thoughts
