This rad I'm using had a very minimalist shroud on it, which was convenient for fitting but didn't really work worth a s***. Actually had no shrouding at all on the bottom, which is kinda weird to me. Air is just going to go around the rad there...View attachment 4135368

Anyways, added some tin to it. It was a pain in the ass.

Now the fan is about 1/3 of the way in, which apparently is where they work best.

Shroud made a huge difference to the running temps. Gauge was all over the place before, and would wander up towards alarming on hills on the highway. Now it sits steady at 1/4 or so on the gauge .

I figured the cooling system was going to need all the help it could get this summer.😬
Look at you "stackin' dimes"!!!:hillbilly:

Finally got around to folding up a floor for this little cubby. Got tired of this water jug bouncing around in the back of the truck with the walnuts.

Sorry , no temporary tack welds for @Rigpig to bellyache about.

Tis the season to weld up floors. Thursday we’re starting building floors so that we can drive the 40 up north towing the M101.

It’s about time to tie the front roll bar into the frame with more than rusty sheet metal.
