Picked one of these up to fill the empty single DIN slot in my hotrod (open headers too loud for an actual stereo lol)

A nice option for those of you running a single DIN head unit in the stock double DIN slot :)

My Cd player that the PO put in has a face that flips down to switch cds... so this mod doesn't work with mine. I'm having to mod it a little more than I thought. So Just don't get a cd player like that.

I ran one into the glove box. So long as you can operate the ipod from the head unit...

I can control it from the unit but I tend to use my iPhone instead of my iPod these days and I like to have my phone handy. Will be upgrading to a gxl interior so I can have a centre console soon anyway.

Pulled the cup holder out on the way home today to see how shifting went, i only punched the holder twice so it shall do.

Believe this or not, I've used a cupholder from an old carseat. I've. Pretty much slid it under the shifter console, works like magic.

Pictures will be up later

JB.Lab.Cup Drink Can Bottle Holder and Drawer 1Din

So i pulled the trigger and ordered JB.Lab.Cup Drink Can Bottle Holder and Drawer 1Din, it was at my door within 2 weeks. Overall i will give 3/10 for this cupholder. It is a bit smaller than 1Din size, so i had to band brakets a bit. Also it is shorter that regular after market HU. I would say free box is completely useless, at least for me. Way too small. Cup holder is shaky and only can hold 1 cup with my HU face on and 2 cans with face off. Quality of cup-holder is pretty low. I wont put more than small coffee cup and drive around. Cup holder seems too weak to handle harsh ride of 80 and hold 2 full cans. I cannot call it good buy for $16, may be if the price was $5-7.
