Where is this? Probably mods for shipment overseas.

This was on Wilson Road on the west side. Battelle has a contract to supply modified LCs to government agencies and special ops. Note the custom hood scoops, wheels, center console with comms, radio delete and ignition delete. They still had plastic on the seats. They get full undercoating before the rubber hits the road. Pretty cool.

I might of wrecked doing a double take, if I had seen these 70 series sitting there while I was driving down Wilson Rd!

Battelle has a building off of 5th ave. on the East side of the Olentangy River. The Olentangy Trail runs behind the facility and the back lot would typically be packed with Hilux's and non-US spec 200 and 70 series cruisers. I always wondered what they were up to.

I haven't seen any activity at that building for the past year, wonder if they moved the operation over to the Wilson Rd. area?

Battelle has a facility in West Jefferson off Rt. 142 and I 70. I think that's where they do the work. They must outsource the rust protection to Ziebart. The facility is very heavily guarded and secure. I've heard they do top secret nuclear and chemical warfare projects there. On their web site they have info on the vehicles they build. They were awarded a defense related contract for the builds. The had a nice picture of a 200 series all tricked out.

My store is up the street and I’ve never seen any. I’ll keep an eye today and maybe I’ll post a pic.

I just drove on 5th and 7th and no LCs on sight. some of my regulars work at Batelle, I'll ask around whats the deal with the Land Cruisers. Hopefully it's not ultra secret info

The back lot circled in red is where they would keep them. Per the sign out front it's a 'Bettelle Receiving' facility, but there hasn't been activity there in the past year. Whatever used to go on there seems to have moved elsewhere, maybe to the facility @xlx mentioned.

I keep seeing a nice looking tan 60 series driving through Johnstown. Whenever I see it, it is moving and I am not prepared to be snapping any pics. So no pics to share. :(

Prob belongs to a guy who lives in Westerville but works in New Albany.

I saw this 40th today in Bexley. It looked cold and lonely. I was going to feed it and see if it would follow me home...
