I need to replace the tires on my cruiser. It's has Michelin LTX M/S tires 31x10.5x15 since the 90's.

They are great tires and have done everything I've needed and lasted forever.

I seldom off road but do encounter occasional light mud, snow, or ice and want to be prepared for that.

I have the new KO2s on my Sequoia. They are great tires as well but a little loose on wet roads.

I drive the cruiser 3-4,000 miles per year (or less).

I've narrowed it down to the 3 choices in the poll.

What say ye?

Go with what ya know.

Not on the list but Toyo Open Country MT's. !0 ply, not a lot of road noise and super at self cleaning the mud caught in the tread.

I've heard really good things about them and would consider that option if I was going with an MT tire. Thanks.

So far it's 3 to 1 for the BFGs over the Michelins. Can't say I'd be disappointed with that choice.

What oil you running?

I will not spit on Geolander. Those are great underestimated tire. Very pleasant on pavement and light off-road situation.

.. but can't go wrong with the BFG

That's why I threw those in there. Brother had some on a 4Runner and loved them. No more miles than I drive they'd probably be great but definitely not as well known as BFG.

Nothing like redirecting the conversation...I realize these aren't on the list either, but since we've departed that path anyway I'll throw a vote in for the General Grabber AT2's.
I've had mine for a little over a year. 13,000 miles, mostly on road, some dirt road, gravel, moderate snow, etc. I love them. Wear well, handle well, quiet on the road, look nice. Only potential gripe would be a thin sidewall compared to the BFG - but I'm not rock crawling anytime soon.

Ive heard good things about Generals as well...Lots of good choices.

I was in an independent tire shop today and they said the BFGs are the only tires they sell for the oilfield trucks around here due to the tough sidewalls.

FWIW- they said out the door price for BFGs was $800. Discount shows $750 out the door with warranty certificates.

X2 on Toyo Open country MT's. Have them on my 100 Series and they are great

Looks like the KO2 wins. They are on order and Discount Tire said they go on sale $100 off a set of 4 next week if anyone else is looking!

Thanks for the input

And here they are. Rides smooth and quiet!

Should be good for another 10 years give or take.

Thanks again for the input!
