just wanted to say i had a great time and my son enjoyed it too, but he wants to stay for the wheelin next year! and yes it was nice meeting the guys from here, dont think i got to talk to everyone but it was awsome!

I have been waiting to go to cruiser days for a while now and finally was on my way. I had arrived and no one was there, I had made a mistake, it was sunday the 14th,
. I guess when I went to car shows they were on sundays, my mistake. Now I have to wait another year. Seems like missed a great show and trail ride .

Looks like cruiser days was a HUGE success. I wish I was there, unfortunaly my land cruiser was parked in front of Brian jessel bmw, and I was working. Well maybe next year. I saw the pics of Cirians Landcruiser, I used to work with Cirain at Granville Toyota and I have to say what skilled technician he is. His land cruiser looked GREAT.

Kick ass cruiser days, next year it going to be bigger and better. THanks Stone, and the others, the costal cruisers realy came together on this one and it payed off for us. Now that we know what we are doing, makes it easier to improve.
Nice to see all the cruiser heads come and support this event, tell all your friends for next year.

To build on that success I vote we get venders around the outside, with anyone wanting to swap parts around the outside with the venders, and all the Cruisers at the show in the middle rows. Another campout that night, and depending on how many sigh up either one run, or split into easy/medium/hard groups for Sunday.
Get as many Toyota dealers there, JDM importers showing their wares, and the aftermarket crowd...
Make it a Vender/JDM Importer/Toyota Dealer/Swap Meet/Show and Shine.
Sounds easy eh?

For Cruiser Days to really take off, there must be a viable commercial component and more attendees. The problem is that the commercial part of Cruiser Days is really a vertical market.
The real increase in the market has been the gain in popularity of the JDM models. More owners, a fresh group of which I am part of. Thanks to guys like you, of course.
The question: Is there a way to expand the sponsor/attendee mix to a more horizontal market? Do we wnat this?
Should we add non-Toyota but outdoors/camping suppliers, etc.? For the commercial support, we would need more attendees.

I think build it, and they will come. We already had the Toyota Owners Mag show up when they heard it was happening. We had two Toyota dealers show up to scope it out, and are very into being vendors...
TLCA has seed money that can be tapped if voted on and passed (???). This opens it to Toyota Trails, and the TLCA insurance...

Very nice show, there were some really cool trucks there. I must say rob mullens setup is amazing. Thanks to all who put this on.

Jzilla: I heard Rob Mullen made it to Cruiser Days, but I didn't even get a chance to meet him. I guess it was that busy at the show.
Rob: Craig (Jeep driver/cash winner) is actually part of the Coastal Cruisers club. I know...when are we going to convince him to ditch that J**p and pick up a Cruiser? He's been there longer than I have, and he's a good guy to hang with.
We're already planning for next year! We thought about the same issues as you have pointed out...specifically how we can get a guarantee that we will get the exclusive use of the whole parking lot. I've brought this up with the School Board, and hopefully they will be phoning me with some ideas. If it's going to be an issue, then we might have to look for a more suitable venue.

Had an awsome time at Cruiser Days and the campout/ trail ride. It was well worth the 30 hours of driving I did to get to and from the event, not to mention the amount of swamper rubber worn down. I m not saying JP Toyota did a poor job, but I have to say, This years event seemed more organized and advertised than the old Land Cruiser Days. It was nice seeing old faces and meeting new ones, the trucks were just bonus. Good Job everyone involved! for everyone! I'm sure Derek drank a beer for everyone on the weekend 
(helped everyone that broke down too ). Can't wait till next year!

Deny: Glad you made it back home safely. Hope Bruce and Charla did also. It was nice to finally meet Bruce and Charla. It was fun wheeling with you. I have to say that you have some great wheeling skills with your open diff BJ40...you made stretches look easy that I locked my diffs on.

Wish I could have spent more time meeting people but it was so hot my little guy(that's my kid I'm talking about) was burning up so we only stayed for an hour. I'd love to see a swap meet along with it next year. It was a great turnout and we hope to get some wheeling in too next year. Thanks to everyone involved for getting it all together. And aired down 34 swampers are my poormans locker.I will also second Derek as the "good guy award" We were so sweety and dusty, and had to go for a swim, but good old derek, after missing out on most of the trail ride driving gar around the dusty logging roads, still stayed and helped Telford pull his diff after he snapped his pinion. We came back, after the best swim ever at sunrise, only to find Derek not only covered in sweat and dirt, but now grease too, and still joking!
and 'S for Derek. Wherlwind: LOL on the little guy, I knew what you ment, but clearifying made it funny!
