yeah, i'll probably go up for a day trip. just to get ideas and see how the other half live....

there's some NNNNNIIIIIICCCEEEEE rigs that show up. $750K earthromers, and the like.

will be interesting to see what the weather is like this year.
had crazy snow 2 or 3 years ago and total mud fest last year.
been a mild dry winter, probably going to be a hot one this year.

Ya, I was there year before last and it was really windy. No mud or snow though... I was there just for one day. Will likely do a single overnight and head up for single day again...although my wallet is getting nervous. I hear ya about the other half thing. Some serious $$ floating around that event.

Heading out in the morning

Getting my posse ready as well. I’ll leave tomorrow morning in the Tacoma to camp a couple nights, then my wife is driving a friend’s 5th gen 4runner down for him, and my buddy will be driving the 200 down Wednesday. Been a lot of work to get everything ready, but super excited since I’m getting close.

Didn’t get signed up this year but we happen to be driving from Oregon to Denver the end of this week and I’m trying to decide whether it would be fun to drive through Moab and see some of the rigs or to avoid the area all together. We would be coming through Friday afternoon. I would assume most people will be out on trail runs.

Not a 200, but have to show pictures of my Daughter, a proud Dad :D

Great pics. Wondered when we would start seeing some show up.

better pics of the Steele Bender obstacle. Use to be you come down to the left (right from Drivers perspective). Your bumper hits the ground and drags you out as your bumper drags the way down. It got much worse and bent a rear tire carrier. A couple of rigs had a strap on the rear as they went down for safety. Some of us elected to go the other path

Interesting to see how a trail changes over 10 years with a lot of use

Steele Bender 2018 with another 80 and in my 200. You can see the wall is taller than someone standing at the base, not so in 2008

I'll fully admit this is where I bailed for three reasons.
1. Didn't really trust anyone there spotting me down that left side. (it's waaay more sketchy in person, off camber lifting rear tires at a 45* angle? Nope)
2. Right side would have ripped my rear mounted tire off.
3. Dangerous, extremely tippy, off camber declines aren't fun for me. Rock crawling is fun, that was not (for me at least).

No worries. Half the group bailed including my daughter. Mark and I both trusted you to get us through it and we greatly appreciate it

It was a lot harder then the pictures show and it was nerve racking going down it. I was questioning my sanity when I decided to do it. Not sure I want to run it again

Really enjoyed wheeling with you and Mark

Thanks so much for these pics! Looks like some great runs! Sorry we had to sit this one out, but we're planning to go in 2019.
