On blacktop for a while, somewhat overcast: up from Bullfrog, then Hwy 95 towards Hite.

There was a Big Horn sighting... I am still getting the house put together and do not have my computer up and running yet. Will get to it after the house

On Tuesday we ran Elephant Hill. In the past we have used it as an exit road from other trails, came in the back door, only ran part of it. This time we paid the fee, went to the visitor center, etc, just like real tourists!

Passed thu Hite; the nice ranger lady at the Hite station was most helpful with our inquiries, none of the usual don't-know, no-can-do, dont-go attitude we've encountered quite frequently at such places. So we headed east on UT-95 towards the turnoff into Blue Notch Canyon.

I did the traditional backup thing. It is wider than in the past, so easier to turn around at the switchbacks.

This trail is a long drive from anywhere, is short (~6mi?), I much prefer connecting/running it with other trails. I thought it included SOB hill, the entrance to the Needles, etc, some of my favorite parts of the area. Were done well before duskish, some had to do the trailer shuffle, etc. A few of us ran out to the Colorado River Overlook, wasn't expecting much, but great views on this one!
