Came around a ridge, this guy was standing in the trail, bolted up the ridge, then paused just long enough for a photo!

I figured there was a couple bighorns in there :D

That is one cool sheepie! The rest looks surprisingly familiar...

Looking across at Lockhart Basin, where the Germans were that day . . .

kept looking for you guys, but didn't see anybody - I guess you were faster than we

actually, it was funny after all watching Jeff in the JDM 80 wheel:

he goes slowly into an obstacle, steers some right, goes some more, steers left, goes some, steers right again, goes more, steers again . . . you get the picture - he steered a lot

the reason he steers so much is . . .
:

I was reaching into my icemaker and mixing drinks as I did all those obstacles with one hand, while taking pictures of Micheal doing wheelies, and at the same time making sure to keep the mosquitoes away from the blue 40 behind me with liberal puffs of well timed smoke.

There are few mosquitoes in the desert. So, you were just blowing smoke to be stinky.:p

Awesome photo! You lucky dog.

Agree, they are elusive creatures, hide well, rarely see them, especially up close. It was literally right in front of my truck, we both froze for a second, surprised, it bolted, I grabbed the cam and mike, yelling "sheep" into the CB and banging away on the cam. Got 15 pix, mostly of butt running away, then it paused turned and looked at me as if to say "WTF was that" and continued running over the top of the ridge. The whole encounter only took seconds, luckily Sue had the window down or wouldn't have gotten anything. Big fun!:hillbilly:

Yep, we made good time in the morning, were at Monument Basin for lunch, so long gone by the time you would have been able to see us.
