Simple Solution

Get some real bumpers and be done with it! :flipoff2:

Sorry, couldnt resist! :D

So if any of you come across a desert dune rig at a parts yard or on here please let me know.

IIRC the Land Cruisers all have the same grey bumpers that happen to match your Desert Dune paint perfectly. Only the LX's got the color matched painted corners, center front and rear frame cross member cover. Any Land Cruiser front should match yours fine. I would give you my old one but it is long gone. Cut it up and ditched it curbside trash.

Sorry to hear about all the bull:censor: you are having to deal with. I guess I that since I own my truck outright so that is why they cut me a check. If it is any consolation I wound up having a body shop fix it because I was told the AAA adjustor would be checking back and updating incase the repair cost was more than the check. AAA's estimate was about $900 less than the body shops so I initiated official repairs with the body shop intending to have the small dent in my tailgate and drivers rear flare fixed and take the money for the bumper and supplement it with my own money and have the shop put a Slee rear on it. They whimped out and changed thier story and would only fix everything and not skip the bumper part, kept my truck for 2 months (me in a rental) and the fix wound up painting my flare trim and rear quarter panel with a "blend" into the roof paint. I am so anal the slight difference drives me nuts. I could have taken the $2300 check and bought a slee outright and it would have covered the small dent in the tailgate (size of a quarter), still had perfect factory paint, and epoxyed the flare untill I removed them all 6 months later. Oh well, live and learn. If I had only known at the begining what I knew at the end I would still have perfect factory paint and a Slee rear. $2300 dollar mistake  :crybaby:

No Slomo, you are confused. I am talking about the body panel ABOVE the bumper, not the bumper at all. this is where the bumper pushed in and damaged the body.
See THIS for reference.

Thats the VALANCE

I bought a NEW OEM unit from Cdan for around $70 or so.

Only problem is that is only comes in primer black!

 :o I will work on my literacy. :D Manglers advice is good. I just got color matched (they ask for your color code) spray paint here and clear coat for a do it yourself repaint of a primered valance. (Manglers) All total for paint and sand paper was about $45 plus the $70 that Mangler quoted for the valance and you are back in buisness. Not bad.
