Cracks on rear doors

Both my cruisers seem to have cracks on top of the rear doors by the post that separates the fixed triangle glass and the roll up glass. Anyone else experience this?

I have one crack, where you describe. I haven't done anything about it yet, but thought I'd drill a small hole at the end of the crack, then mig weld it?

What's your plan.

Did just that ,I drilled a small hole where the crack stopped and welded it . Havn't put her on the road yet but by just opening and closing doors it's back! Wondering if this is a stress area from natural weight of doors ?

Not good news. My doors are just shells, right now. Might be a good time to look into welding some support underneath, the crack. I never gave it much thought, before.

BOth my rears on my 69' are cracked. I always assumed it was just from flexing. That pig flexes enough to make the roof pop.

I had cracks on all my doors when I redid my 55, I had to drill and weld all of them as well. I was lucky and had all new rubber on hand, I am not sure that is still the case? Haven't been in the Pig scene for a while.

I fixed the cracked rear doors on mine too.

Yep, Me got's em too. Never did anything about them until I started noticing them getting worse... which they haven't, so I haven't done anything about it.
