cowl vent hardware

Has anyone found a replacement for the screw used to fasten the cowl vent cover, 93520-14012?

It appears the spring nuts, 90183-04058 are still available.

Not OEM... I picked up four #8 x 3/4” Stainless Oval Head Phillips sheet metal screws from HD... $1.56
1/2” would work but they were out of stock.

Did you replace the spring clips too?

Retail $2.01 each, I just bought some recently. The screws are NLA, but like @78Cruzr said, generic oval head screws are basically the same as OEM.

I did not... they are still good and took the sheet metal screw thread better than a machine screw thread.

Does anyone know if the cowl vent screws on my Mustard 75 are supposed to be painted? I’m going to be repainting the vent as PO painted it black for some reason. I am pretty positive that the screws in it are original, but if that’s the case, they were never painted.

Those are upholstery screws LOL check your jump seats and see if 4 screws are missing….
