You headed out on yet another epic adventure?

This is more civilized, yet pretty epic as far as family vacations go. We're on a 10 day trip to Colorado Springs, Sequoia NF, then hitting the Rubicon (well, sort of) for a weekend with Cdrew and the NorCal gang.

Awesome. Team Mosley - #doesntfxxxaround.

I'm not sure we're anywhere near as #DFA as the Grogan's, but this has been pretty epic and we're only a day & a half in.

This was from a hike we went on today in an area near the Garden of the Gods. Fawkin' beautiful.

At NORAD? Seriously?

Now we have a conversation set up for Rubithon Bossman. Awesome.

Yep. Chief Lawrence Hornsby was NCOIC (Non Commissioned Officer In Charge) of Space Command at the time of his retirement in 1976. In other words, he was the top enlisted guy in the Mountain. He was pretty proud of that and we were very proud of him. Total time there was 1964-1968 and 1972 - 1976. From 1968 - 1972 he did the same duty at the jointly operated NORAD site in North Bay, Ontario. NORAD was a pretty cool place to get to visit as a kid. Wish I could go back some day. I'll bend your ear all day on the subject if you let me brother. ;)

Very cool! My dad was in sales with IBM for many years...sold the USAF all of the IBM mainframes in NORAD and, later, at CSOC. I'd guess they came face-to-face a few times.
