awesome pics @Godwin. Makes me ready to head up to Hawks Pride next month....

Headed up to Kodak, TN this weekend.
Need tips on food and fun.

Since I am taking the 100, we plan to explore some mild trails.
Found this trail from the jeep place.
Cades Cove and Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail

Any other recommendations?
No camping but have 2-3 days to get out.

I haven't been on the roaring fork motor trail, but have been to cades cove. Not sure about this time of year, but the last time I was there I swore I'd never go back. It is beautiful and there are some cool stops around the loop, but it is one lane and is usually stacked up with people who will stop in the middle of the road and get out to see deer in a field, and God forbid someone spots a bear... It took us like 4 or 5 hours to make the loop. If you're looking for off the beaten path, I'd keep looking. There are some good spots up there. @bluehawk @RSHARPfzj80 @cphillips or @Goode are all from around Knoxville and might be able to offer some nice scenic places to check out.

Was in Cades Cove years ago one September. Timed the route just before sunset when traffic would be light and the critters would be moving. A truck load of Alabama yahoos was driving through the cove drinking beer, tossing cans, and spot lighting deer :hillbilly::lol:. Because the cove is long and narrow the light could be seen at some distance, and it was by a park ranger. The ranger blasted down the road after the perpetrators. I'm sure he caught them and passed along a little "education."

bit further but Highlands / Cashiers NC looks to be about 4-5 hrs for you. Beautiful country, good hiking / fishing and neat places to eat in the towns - nice for kids / wife too if you're looking for something in addition to outdoors only Probably our favorite place in the SE

Fontana Dam / Robbinsville area or Tellico Plains / Vonore

Townsend TN is nice bit the Park can be nuts w/ crowds as weather warms up

Got more time later - head up to Boone

Yep, that pretty well sums it up.
