How about trails around Tom Leatherwood wilderness area and a white river and do some trout fishing? I'd love to have another trip to back out of last minute.

Pick a date.

I can't go to Delta National to camp like I planned April 22nd.

If y'all wanna go someone step in and plan it.

My next trip is May 20-22 K Trail. Clayton to Arkansas.

We will meet a Clayton Lake State Park Friday the 20th

Details later.

Most of the artificial, crackhead obstacles are on the Oklahoma side:

Yes, in fairness that picture was grabbed from an older thread on expo. Apparently, some jeep party lost all of their tires, so he went back to investigate. poked around with a shovel and found a metal chain under the water. Connected that chain to his winch and after a bit of a tug of war out popped this little contraption of death.

Here is the link: The contraption was discovered/removed in July 2015. The story starts on page 4 and all the pics are on page 5.

Yes, I'm guessing it was a meth lab (or a "grow" as they supposedly call it in the weed industry) and it was put there to evade law enforcement. There were also fires in the middle of the trail (another common trick to keep people away during production).

Pretty scary encounter regarding the fire (which involved a gun shot).

Given all the public attention and the sherriff's office being notified, I would imagine they have moved on. Still some pretty shady s*** going down.

Yes, I will never forget @Fireman unpacking has mobile armory that first night in big bend. I have never felt so safe. How we made it through the border checkpoint with all that heat is still beyond me.

Id like in on this trip, I think it would be a good trip to break in my new (to me) LX. What are y'alls gear and vehicle setups for runs like this?
