Glad your ok clutchee! and glad your wife didnt push you off a cliff in moab, JO ; )

Firework display in silverton was pretty spectacular ! 40 minutes! It was something to hear the fireworks echo through the mountains. I can honestly say that they had fireworks that i havent seen before. 4 th of july parade was fun as well. Small and short. Firefighters had two firetrucks duelling it out with their water cannons during the parade , which of course the crowd was hit by the COLD water as well.
Coming down from silverton, co on 550 is windy but fine . Very scenic!
We took aztec to Santa fe. Thats a very scenic drive as well . 55 mph which is fine for our current situation.

Coming down 84 we got a chance to see the smoke clouds from the current fires in los alamos/ san juan forrest... Looked like a nuclear explosion at some points..

Thanks to everyone for such a great time in Moab. Special thanks to Nolen for the planning, leadership, and great pics. Also to JRob for the spot on his trailer, a seat in that sweet new F250, and for the new spring pin and all the help getting it fixed and back on the trail so quick. I could not have made it there, wheeled successfully, and gotten home in one piece without you, JRob. You, sir, are no rat bastard! Thanks to everyone else for letting me follow your lines, spotting, winching, and tugging me along. I was pretty pleased with the way the GunRunner performed after I mastered the Moab bump.

Recent mods I liked:
Saginaw Power Steering: Second trip on this mod. I got in some tough spots where it was still tough to turn, so I can't imagine doing it on mini truck PS.
Line Locks: Stopping and starting on a steep incline with a manual transmission is no longer an issue! Probably my favorite recent mod.
York On-Board-Air: With the exception of blowing a hose off a connector which took 5 minutes to fix, it worked very well. I would not allow it to reach max pressure of 120psi due to the heat and my concern of blowing it up, but now that I have some confidence in it, I'll let it reach its set shutoff on its own and pull the throttle out one more click to really get it pumping and filling tires even faster.
Tin Roof: No more flapping, popping, irritating bikini top. Dropping the windshield was quicker and easier too.
Storage Drawers: Lots of tools and spares stored safely as low as possible was confidence inspiring.
Partial Carb Rebuild: It ran pretty well in all but nearly vertical positions. Thanks Jeff & Myron.

Eat at The Shed in Santa Fe. Yum

We just grabbed something quick in espanola but I'm pretty sure we are there on a trip through Santa fe a few years ago when I had a margarita that I would say was close to a religious experience.

The shed is delicious...I miss living in New Mexico!
