They left the wheel gun market; and they owned this with the snake guns
Their AR's are badass but cost 1.5x plus over the competition
Lost the USG contracts to competitors like FNH
Bad management
I am just guessing here but the vast majority of buyers (over 50%) in this market are after a cheap black polymer gun.
(i.e. glock, hi point,, and you could go on and on)
I hope they can pull out of this. I am a big Colt fan.
It would be a shame for an 'Merican icon like this to go down.
Now I wonder if I should grab those Colt AR's still for sale at my local Walmarts????

I don't see anything changing at Colt. They're keeping the same mgmt that led them to this mess. Everyone predicted they could not make the debt payment after the loan they received in the fall of last year. They're just kicking the debt can down the road in hopes that some miracle happens.
Colt's biggest asset is their brand, but sadly they're not able to capitalize on that. IMHO, Colt does not currently manufacture anything that I'm interested in.

I'd like to trade an Aimpoint Comp M4 and a primary arms 3x magnifier in a Sampson flip mount for a similar quality 1-4x 1-6x scope, if anybody has interest. Might sell outright, but would rather trade...
