I have one you can borrow, I have no idea if it works though.

Thanks man. I actually ended up finding one a block away from my house this afternoon, and I was able to get the pillar-bedding done.

Here are a few shots of the process:

All she needs now is a coat of paint

TCB, I decided to get my TAC-65 recored with stainless steel baffles, so I sent it off to Huntertown Arms yesterday. Until, I get it back, I am gonna be using the Sparrow SS.

Nice work, looks good.

Awesome. I'll be waiting a while. I do need to grab a scope to put on that CZ so I can at least shoot some 22 during the wait.

Got a ton of new springs and upgrades in for my buckmark this week. I'll be knee deep in that all weekend.

Well, the buckmark wasn't near as complicated as I thought it was going to be for the springs I needed to replace. The internet made it sound like you needed 8 hands to remove the grips... I've replaced about damn near everything on it that could wear out or be upgraded. I hope it shoots!

Good luck man. It's out there, you've just gotta be right place/right time.

That Tacsol upper looks bad@#$

I got lucky yesterday and bought 800 rounds of CCI subsonic. If I had known you guys were looking for ammo, I would have posted here with a link.

If I come across any reasonably priced .22 or .223/5.56, I will chime in.

Decided to pin the pillar in place for a little extra security

That sucks....I love my Ruger Mark III with a bull barrel but I grew up shooting it. It will eat most anything

Agree. Buying any other .22 auto for targets is dumb :)

The Buckmark is just as picky as my wife's mosquito. That does not make me happy.

What kinds of problems are you having?

I think it was ammo problems mainly. It ran fine with Federal Automatch. But Federal champion and remington golden bullets were a coin flip on whether it would work, stove pipe, fail to eject, or fail to fire when the trigger was pulled.

The reason I went with a buckmark over the ruger was I could add the tacsol barrel without the additional cost/hassle of using a FFL. Both have tremendous followings. But yeah, I never had a day like this with my old Mark III. But this is also a 25yr old beater buckmark that I picked up in a pawn shop in the ghettos of clarksdale.. I expected it to be a bit of a project. I'll get a new extractor and replace the firing pin and springs prior to the next trip to the range to see if that helps on the crappier ammo.

Nolen, you can't have too many .22s.

TCB, throw away your Remington golden bullets; they are garbage, and miss-feed in every one of my autos.
