I reunited with my first FJ40 earlier this month...bought it in 92. Foolishly traded it for a very high end custom fishing boat in 2011. Found it on ebay a few months back and bought it. As I was going thru all my cool stuff I had with the truck, I have all my receipts going back to the bill of sale in 92, I found this old SOR glovebox catalog. I think this was in a box of parts that came with a 40 I bought a really long time ago. This was before Al Gore created the internet so this is all I had to feed my TLC fix....I knew every page of it back then. If I had only applied myself that much to my college classes.....

I'm thinking this is circa 85-ish as there is an ad for SORs 1st African Safari scheduled for June 25, 1986.

That is cool. I remember before the internet, Auto Trader was like gold too.

Yup. Auto Traders were great. I seem to recall a little paper classified book called the Want Ads or something. My eyes would light up whenever there was an FJ40 listing. Back in the days when $3500 got you a beautiful truck!

I forgot all about waiting for Auto Traders to come out the first day. Ha.

I've been cleaning out and organizing the garage the last few days getting ready to start work on my LV and came across this little gem from way back. I bought half of the L/C products they offered.

Really cool! I must have had that catalog as well because I remember every one of those pages....especially the last one...I really disliked that truck in the pic. Lol.

I seem to recall having a Man-A-Fre catalog and I think a Downey one....I'd love to find those.

Yeah I never liked that 40 either. I'd take a bone-stock one any day over his. Loved his products though.

Speaking of Man-A-Fre, remember when their logo looked like this?
