Even with the picture from @whitey45 I'm struggling to see how this mounts and is used. Do you have pics of it on a 40?

Unfortunately I don’t. It was included in my vehicle purchase and never mounted. My guess: you would need two mounts (upper and lower). The mounts would bolt to the rear quarter panel same as stock. The mounts would have to have a receiver that could take a hinge pin/bolt (similar to the door hinge).
