Profro, thanks for you comments and that line of reasoning is why we are looking at CC, not everyone wants high challenge trails and for them CC also offers a couple hundred miles of 3-5 level trails.

I took 2 newbie guys out Friday night after dinner. This was my 1st time to gsmtr and never seen GM trails either I told the guys I'd take them out on the easy trails. We drove down and entered trail 2 past where iron pig guys were staying. Right off the bat there is a huge friggen drop off I couldn't believe for an easy trail. One guy with a stock 40 had a rear wheel off the ground immediately! To me this is no easy or even moderate trail.

Ooooh. June 8-10 is not gonna work for me but....I'm no one of consequence.... Either way, I'm buying a house and if all goes well, the closing date is June 8th so that's a weekend of moving. Yuck. It's not far from where I live so I will possibly check it out on my own anyways. Looking forward to going next year.

Unfourtantly we did not adjust the rating of that trail on our map as the park promised to fix that issue and several others.

It's not looking good for me at this point due to lack of fuel and the drive distance. However, after reading Rob's "pull a 4 day in July", I realize that, for once, I think I have a bit of leave saved up. So I may be able to do the same and take a long weekend or even a few weekdays leading in to a weekend. Even though the temps are just gonna keep going up, the further out the better for me I think.

Edit: I guess there's no reason that we can't try to do more than one run if we want. I know we need this info ASAP to make a definite call on the 2013 location, but multiple runs with multiple opinions from multiple people could be very beneficial. Maybe one run in early to mid June and another in late July?

If there is a late July run I should be able to make it. I'm scheduled to be off work on the weekend of the 28th. I would have to haul up there after work on Friday and just get there late. (Does that save an extra day of fees if I get in after midnight? :hhmm:)

I am not sure if my information is accurate since it is several years old, but it seems like I remember a TTORA event that they were trying to organize at CC that didn't happen because of some insurance issues for large groups on the property. I am sure that will all be discussed with the management but I thought I would throw it out there to chew on.

I might be in for a July run if one materializes. I have family in K-town and a buddy with a Tacoma that I could probably talk into it. Any July dates out there the ponder on??

We are doing the ride on June 9 and 10. Todd and I plan on getting there Friday night and renting a bunky cabin. Those that are coming up saturday morning need to be at the cabin by 9 AM EDT. We need to look at the campground and get a bunch of riding in so we can make a decision.
I am also up for a July run, especially if we decide to move GSMTR, as some of us will need to guide Trail Rides. I will start a thread for that ride when I get back from this one.

The ride is this coming weekend, who's coming? I have a 4 bunk cabin reserved, so far just me and Todd in the cabin, any one else want to share the cabin? I plan to be there Friday afternoon.

Roger,

I might be able to go...but I will not know until after tomorrow how work will play out this week. I'll check back in wed or so.

Hey Roger, I'm in. I can do either day (and be there as early as you want). Do you plan to ride a full day on Sunday? Rance said he was out for Saturday and a maybe on Sunday. Also, what kind of stuff do you want me to help scout (i.e. should I drive the 40 or the 80?). - Shawn

I plan to ride a full day Saturday, hope to get the group together at 9AM at the cabin. Will ride a full day Sunday if we have a group. I think I will bring the 40 plan to do Mostly easy trails but have more options with the 40

OK, I'll drive my 40 also. How many people are currently planning to ride Sat? How about Sun? Is the cabin located next to the main parking area?

The Cabin is in Windrock Park, off Windrock Rd, about 1 mile before the big parking lot and snack shack.
When I get there Friday I will post up the cabin number.

I will be there Sunday morning. Hopefully Rance can make it also.

I,m out got to work on my f250 this wkend

If you can't make this ride on June 8-10 I am going to take some folks up for a ride on the 15th as well. You can friend me on Facebook if you want to get an invite.
