:hhmm: I thought you were planing on camping on 4/28?

Nobody knows what we're planning :p.

Not even we.:hhmm:

Since I like driving, I cautiously put in a vote to drive the mostest possible trail miles each day. But the votes haven't been tallied yet. :o

On another note, Truckwerks haven't even touched my truck yet. Everything is supposed to be done in time, though.

Talked to Jason today, he is jammed up with a heep project that should be done soon, then your truck. He said it will be done in time for the trip.:D

Yes - and my back bumper is on the back burner @ TW. I will probably be leaving plastic on the shelves instead of paint...

The big difference between Lockhart and Crown King is one is very remote and the other is a traffic jam. Any issues on Lockhart would be much more difficult to deal with, we didn't see another soul all day.

And the hardest challenge, the decent off of the shelf, is closer to the end. The pix show that Carl started down at 5:05 and Drew on the last bolder at 6:20, so ~1:15 to get 5 trucks, 1 w/ trailer down.

We did see that 70 in Lockhart Canyon - from quite a distance.

AND:

That was really the only hard part of the trail IMO - and really just the boulder at the top. That said, the spring rains could have changed that whole chute a lot. How many trucks (>6?) and how many trailers (2) are we taking this year?

I am in with you guys this year....1 rig, no trailer, and a real bumper!!!!! (with no paint, the CSC way)

:hhmm:

from what I have been told, the hardest part was to get Carl going

:flipoff2:

:flipoff2:unfortuantely, lately I've been showing up on time and suprising everyone - especially Kevin when I'm at a meeting place before him;p

I've been in training tho:beer::beer: - perhaps I can get back to my old standards of performance:cool:

of course we always have to keep claudia from:steer:off on an expedition of her own while we figure out why we aren't lost;)

Truck is 'under the knife' now - springs are in, traction bar next; steering noise still undetermined at this time :frown:.

in the meantime, I'm trying to learn the new camera...

Accomodations

Anybody traveling solo and looking to save a couple of bucks????

I already have reservations for Blanding and Monticello...if somebody else is traveling solo we could share the rooms and use the cash for gas ($117 a barrel and rising!!!)....

I even have a big air mattress, so you could have the bed....Let me know by Wednesday, so either I can cancel my reservations or you can cancel yours...

I do not have reservations for Moab, I may camp unless somebody wants to share a room there too....

Let me know...thanks...chris

getting closer. anaheim ain't so far away

Running the check -list & get'n packed. Plan to head out tomorrow & spend some time in Chinle. Arrive Blanding Saturday afternoon. Have fun & drive safe. Cheers, Jim & Lorna

reservation for Monticello made - check

weather forecast indicates nighttime temps around freezing for the area

a bit BBBBRRRRRRR for camping

:flipoff2:

wimp ;)

Guilty as charged. If it's too cold for shorts and flip flops, it's too cold for human habitation!:D:princess:

How long have you been in AZ? You're spoiled!

Remember last year's snow storm? And how cold it was in Arches on Saturday? I'm bringing what serves as my winter clothes!

I have bluecruiser, Blues Dawg, Brother Rob and myself caravaning up in the morning. Anyone that I missed, postup so we don't leave you behind!

My thought is meeting at the gas station on Carefree hwy just east of I-17, at 8:30? The last time I was up there, there was construction on 17 and the station's parking lot, but shouldn't be a problem for a small group?
