Clutch/Brake peddle return spring needed

After selling the Musturd and a 5 year hiatus from Land Cruiser ownership I had the itch again and have been on the hunt for another classic Cruiser. I knew at some point the right one would pop up, but I was getting fairly discouraged looking locally as most were piles of rust. Looking back out west turned up a few candidates, but the logistics were difficult to work through. My wife was even starting to get tired of my endless search when this 55 popped not super far away. This rig might be the complete polar opposite of what I thought I would end up with, but I instantly was drawn...

Unfortunately there isn't a exact reproduction available as far as I know.

That's not a problem for me. the only stuff original on my 55 is the body, minus the roof, and the frame. I love my 4BT.

lol Even I'm not such a purist as to worry too much about two springs that are hidden from view. I only meant it in the sense that something else may or may not work as well. Let us know what you ultimately go with.

Here's my update. Ace had a couple springs I tried, but didn't quite work. As it turned out I only needed the clutch spring. The brake still worked but at some point in the 33 years I've had my 55 I modded it some. The hook on one side had broken off, but there was still enough left to just bend a new hook and reinstall it. this was the same for the clutch spring.

As for the springs I got at Ace, the size was close. but the gauge of the wire is twice that as the OEM, making it a tighter draw and a quicker return. I think with some creative reverse enelining with some heat It would work. It's what I will do next time, if it doesn't last another 56 years.
