Lowest I've found the 1000 is 749 at northern tool. It isn't cheap but it's something that would last and it's super quiet. Do we need more than 1000 watts? If you plugged a fridge in it would it run it? A small tv and dish only use a couple hundred watts at the most. We can go all led for lights. The water pump isn't used a lot. My thought is to used the battery to run most everything and use the generator to keep the battery charged.

Tank and pump came in today. Tank is pretty sweet.

Suspension is on the way.

Suspension is not on the way. We are stepping back from my idea due to costs. I'm working with a vendor on getting the cost down. The new suspension cost was 640 without spindles and shipping. That is going to push us to the 800 mark when it's all said and done. Way more than I think a suspension should cost.

I like the Timbren system but not that much.

So what other good bulletproof suspensions are there. Something we can order and weld to the frame that will hold 1200-2000lbs and have 6 stud 5.5 hubs and be a custom width?

Suspension is on the way. Ended up going Timbren from etrailer.com. Really good people to deal with. While I'm at the sand blaster tomorrow I'm going to have him blast the rims JP gave us. I also order a 16ga piece of sheet metal for the floor. So we can at least have something to do at the trailer build.

Trailer build day Dec 15 at Trollhole's Garage

So who's in?

Marshall's got all the tools needed. Just need a few worthy members to chip in a few hours of build time. Club's buying the coffee.

Post up if you can make it.

I'm pretty sure I will be. Lol

Will also order a couple sticks of 1" tube and some 2" inside diameter for the tongue. And a stick of 1x2 and 1x1 the rest we will cut off john lee's truck.

What material should we use for the sides and top 16, 18, 20 ga? I thought 16 was best for the bottom since we well have things like batteries bolted down to it. But the sides and top could be lighter.

I just got an email from Sportsmans Warehouse, Honda generators on "sale"...not by much but $50 off better than none: 1K watt $749, 2K watt $949

I should be able to make it (will confirm 100% closer to event), I would be an extra set of hands or a mule as I have no fab skills...yet, but I can drink a LOT of coffee.

Would like to come out if possible! As for now count me in!

Trailer build hummmmm?

That far out and not pre scheduled, who know's but I will put it on the Schedule for if possible. :)

There are a couple build days on the calendar. Rome wasn't built in a day :) and this trailer surely won't be either :hillbilly:

We need a hitch for it. What should we go with. If we get a hitch we might just have a roller at the first build.

One that will allow it to attach to the vehicle
