A couple layers of primer and lots of elbow grease with a sanding block.

Have you ever painted automobile parts prior to doing these? Did you paint them in a "homemade" paint booth?

I've used auto paint before.
For this though, I am spraying outside on nice calm days. Today was temperate enough to pull off painting too.

Next step is to spray on some sealer, 2 coats of different colors, block sanding between coats.
What kind of gun and how big is your compressor? Air dryer?

My air compressor is from home depot or lowes about 15 years ago, I don't remember, and is a 60 gallon tank with a 10.3 scfm @90 psi single stage compressor. It won't keep up with continuous use of a DA but painting isn't an issue.
Gun is a hvlp gun from eastwood, a 'finish line' brand IIRC and is an ok gun. I do have a siphon gun and a uber cheap harbor freight hvlp gun, both of which are basically useless. I use disposable paint cups I found at HF which makes clean up much easier.
I try to keep my tank drained daily but the drop or two I might get I run thru a inline paper disposable dryer filter. Seems to work ok.
All in all though, I consider my painting skills more utilitarian than, umm, prize winning.

Painting on the back doors is done and I've started to reassemble. I have some stainless steel fasteners and I am trying to decide if I want to paint them or let them be shiny.
I am reusing the window weather stripping but I have all new stuff for the seals.

Blue side doors now. Life is awesome, the Mrs for some reason, doesn't like no doors.
Some primer / sealer. A coat of black then grey, block sanding as I layer it on.

I have the back doors mounted. I need to do some adjusting with the upper left hinge as the driver side is a new replacement. I've painted a set of screws but I'm using some odds and ends to test fit the doors.

To paraphrase Winnie the Pooh, its had a growing rumbly in it's tumbly, to be specific, a loud whine only while under power above 35 mph. I replaced the axle bearings at the start of my rebuild but not the pinion and ring bearings. The troubleshooting matrix says a probably ring to pinion misalignment.
When I cut the larger inner pinion bearing's cage off, I think I found the issue.
