Clear Protective Tape Fail

I just purchased a new to me GX470 with Pearl White Paint. The paint is in excellent shape but the PO put this clear protective tape all over the windward surfaces.

To say it looks like Shvt would be an understatement. What are my options for removal replacement etc. I have access to a heat gun but wanted to see if there were any known pitfalls before removing.

A cheap steamer will be much safer than a heat gun. Works great. I just did this 2 weeks ago.

I have that stuff on mine and like the protection. Mine doesn't look like your though. It's in great shape.
