I will have a propane grill and stove. I will try to be there at 4:45 ish. I will text when I start up the pass. What cb Chanel do you guys want to use as a lot of us don't have the hams? Luke you still bringing the girls or are they staying home? Basil I will text if I remember when we leave woodland park. I am getting done with work early to pack and get an alignment as I didn't get what I needed at the other place. If wife gets done earlier I will let you know as well.

Sounds good! uh how does channel 7 sound? I'm just gonna light a fire and hangout whenever I get there. Hopefully I go to the right place! hah

Girls are still coming, so I'll need beer when I get to camp. Lol.

I might use the fire grill Basil, bringing burgers for dinner, love open fire cooking. This is going to be a great weekend.

Its the best! make sure to bring a flipper for those burgers... ill bring some charcoal

I'm thinking I might get to WP around 3:45-4:00ish, have an early diner and leave wit you guys. I still need to talk with Andrew to see what his plans are.

I talked to Travis a minute ago. I am planning on leaving CS around 3:30-4:00 and driving up, so I will probably meet with him on the way. I am not taking the pop-up, but I will bring a portable shade/rain canopy thing. I will cook some dogs when we get to camp, and I plan to bring some firewood, as well. I will have my ham, and will set my CB to channel 7, as well.

See you guys up there! It sounds like this will be a great trip!

We've always been able to find deadwood in the past. I will be bringing my mini camp chainsaw. And I have an axe for splitting. It wouldn't hurt a thing if you wanted to bring a few bone dry pieces of firewood, in fact, I might as well. I never get in a hurry, if we were all off by 6:00 I would be happy.

At least by 7 I hope. I would like to set up the tent in daylight if at all possible. If not I would like to use Luke's led light bar.

It'll melt your tent!!!! -vaporize it!!!!

Just getting done with the alignment and a guy who knows his stuff. About time I find someone who isn't rude to help. The other guy said he couldn't get the numbers I provided to him (he drives a jeep and I think he doesn't like ifs) but this other guy hit the numbers and explained why the other guy was probably no good. Soon back home to pack the rest up.

A quick post-trip update:

We had a large turnout for this run: 1 jeep, 3 LC's (2x80, 1x100), and 5FJC's. Many of us camped nearby the night before. This was a very challenging trail, certainly the most challenging trail that I have ever run. I think that quite a few of us picked up some little dings/scratches, but nobody broke anything or had major damage.

Luke's recomended camping area worked out great. He even brought the official club banner!

Travis stopping to assess the situation at "the squeeze". This trail became difficult pretty much immediately. We found it necessary to stack rocks for most of the trucks to get through some of the obstacles without damage.

There's a Moose on the loose! Brian's FJ80, and Luke's Jeep navigated most of the obstacles with little issue. I enjoyed having a fellow FJ80 on the run!

A FJC squeezing through.

We stopped for lunch where the trail split at the top of Carnage Canyon and encountered a buggy and range rover on their way to run part of the more difficult trail.

This was a scenic trail with nice overlooks every now and then.

The rock pile in the wash:

Luke went to play in the rocks. Travis got into the skinny pedal a bit in an effort to power over a rock that appeared a bit smaller than it actually was.

The Frank tried to pull the 100 off of the rock, to no avail. This led to the only winching operation of the trip.

Parking above the Whales tail. Traffic jams were a bit of an issue on this run. We pulled off twice during the run to let other groups pass, and often we did not park far enough up from an obstacle to get all 9 trucks through without re-parking.

The Chutes. We had to stack rocks for most of the trucks to get through this obstacle. One dog ejection did occur here, but the little guy was OK and walked off like nothing happened.
