Some videos and pics during and after the alignment. It turns out that the toe was out badly on the drivers side.

i'm not allowed to upload videos. i must get them on YouTube first i guess. oh well...

I've just picked up a parts truck with a brilliant frame to do a swap on chilcotin, curtesy of will m, fellow mudder! He still has some trucks and parts for sale if anyone is interested. My new frame came with a running parts truck, arb bumper with winch included and 4:11 third members. Woo hoo. Let the frame swap and rust repair begin

omg i am so retarded. my pics suck. Just to clean the post, I bought a running truck with a nice frame and a few extra goodies. i will continue with my project now since i have what i need to keep it going

Quick update. My belts started squealing like pigs on Monday last. I ended up buying belts and I also thought my PS pump was going. I know the previous owner had replaced it but I'm not sure if it is a toyo pump, and knowing the aftermarket ones crap out rather quick, voila...

So after posting earlier I got into the garage and went on to work replacing my belts. Upon removing the old belt I noticed it was worn well enough. See photos below for reference. I then noticed what had caused the problem initially. It turns out that the main alternator bolt had gone missing and it was only held in place by the tension bolt only. Weird. I didn't have a long enough bolt on hand so I improvised until I can buy a bolt from the dealer. I used lock nuts on these ones. I never touched the alternator before so I cannot say what cause the bolt to come loose. I also changed my oil and added the mystery marvel oil in the mixture to see what comes out. The engine is audibly quieter now! I did clean the pan last summer when I replaced the gasket so I am not expecting too much gunky stuff to come out. Also note the parts vehicle I picked up two weeks ago in the last picture.

Been a while since I've updated my thread. So today was a sad day for me. After all the work I have put into my truck to get it running perfectly over the last 2 years, I have ended up selling it... together with the replacement parts rig none the less.

The above pic shows them as they sat after delivery to new owner's place. Good thing is they are close and I can go drive them anytime I want. Another good thing is I bought another 60 right off the bat, and it an HJ60! Have yet to fly in and drive it home. Here is a picture.

I love that bumper. I understand why ARB changed the design of theirs, but not only do I like the looks of the old style better, I anticipate hitting more animals with it than pedestrians.

Yes I know. (Bumper discussion)Need to continue in with this thread. I've done wrk on my new truck but I haven't been posting much

OH, Funny you should ask. I always liked the sound of that word, just the way it rolls of the tongue. I then bumped into an article in one of my Mountain bike action magazine about cycling in BC and Chilcotin Mtns were mentioned, plus when I rode to AK on my motorbike from NY 7 years ago, I passed through and the name always stayed with me. I even nicknamed my daughter when she was tiny "Chilcotina" Lol. Just sounded funny and good to me at the time.

Great, it's been three years since I posted in this thread, lol. Funny how time flies. I have a quick question, maybe someone can help out. The guy I sold the truck to three years ago, started it after letting it sit for all of those three years, let her run and went for lunch, He came back and found the truck in smoke. Turns out the radiator sprang a leak, coolant leaked out, engine overheated and seized. He let it sit, started it up and it has no power, DUH... Anyway, my question is does anyone know of a good source for rebuilt 2F's? He says he has no time to rebuild his engine, plus the engine may be unusable. He does have a spare, but that also needs rebuilding. I know MAF sells rebuilt engines but they are expensive. Any input is highly appreciated.
Cheers.

Local machine shop. Noone is selling ready off-the-shelf rebuilt 2Fs, that I am aware of.

Thanks for the reply. I figured as much, although i did find a source and its costly, plus I cannot verify the components they use either.

I do not but its in the hands of a friend who didn't use it. Just parked it after he bought it. I am trying to help him out.
