Been following this build through avatars lately, they give more info than this tread lately.:grinpimp:

LOL!!!!
FAWKERS! :flipoff2:
Seriously...does anyone in the HC section really WANNA see where the brake line brackets were positioned and how to HACK/ bend a brake line.
Im having the hardest time trying to use that stupid little bender...
It been good practice though as Im gonna have a fair amount to do pretty soon. Just need to figure out how to put the bend EXACTLY where I want it. Im getting close.

BTW...Here's a pic for ya...:cool::D

What is this!?!?!?!

Not HAMMERED, but feeling pretty good at that point.
What can I say, it was an open bar!?:flipoff2:

Get everything welded up today on the front housing.
I split the calipers to clean and paint them, tore the piston boots and LOST the little plastic washers that seals the brake fluid at keeps it from leaking OUT of the caliper. flew somewhere in my shop...have NO IDEA where.
Ordered a re build kit and it DID NOT have that damn washer!:crybaby::bang:
So....picked up a set of remanufactured calipers for 33 bucks a piece.
Waiting for paint to dry. Takes longer cuz its cold (naturally), so I should be able to get the front end back in this week/ weekend! FINALLY!!!!!

This has been a LOOOOONG FRIGGIN PROCESS!

Pics later.

Not That There's Anything Wrong With That
It's from an episode of Seinfeld but has become a frequent initilism on the internet.

And lets try to keep those BBC* brackets straight in the future. :flipoff2:

*BBC=bullet board code.

BTW (By The Way) the fussy stuff is what takes most of the time in my experience. I also suck at it which is why your truck will come out so much better than mine did.

I took some calipers apart once on a restauration job. Had the same problem, I was lucky to find the washer I lost. When trying to get new washers (It was restauration) I got the speach that they are not to be taken apart, thats why they are not in the rebuild kit. Needless to say thet worked flawless afterwards. But still next time I try to keep them in one peace and if they need to go apart I use a bin to separate them in. But I guess you got that one yourself to.:D

LOL....My buddy chris texted me the pic. Apparently it was on his computer and he took the pic with his I phone.
Yeup...the little details are the killer for time. Even the swing out....you get the MAIN stuff you need, then there are the DETAIL items...like affixing the pads, finding the pads etc. However, it's what is required for it to come out "RIGHT". Ive already blown any kind of schedule, sooo...screw it. What's a little MORE time.

I was actually pretty worried about those little bushings after I saw them and realized they came out. The seem to be a "one and done" type application. Im surprised that you got them to work properly afterwords. Truthfully, Im kinda glad that I got the new calipers...I had some suspicions of the old ones...there was streaking down the side of one of them that leads me to believe that it MAY have been leaking. I was gonna roll the dice provided the kit had the proper gaskets etc, but since it didnt, that made my mind up for me.

Bout time!
