He's RAD!! lots that I had forgotten about puppy training, but it's coming back! He's doing great!!
Everyday I spend a little time w/ him in or around the rig to get him used to it. He was pretty nervous w/ it at first. Today I started it w/ him in it!! He did pretty well w/ it!

Super stoked about him!! :)
 
Now THAT makes my day!! Good looking little guy.

Second pic, just wait til he grows into those feet.

We've been dealing with some Boxer pups here. They'll be one month old this Saturday. They're just getting beyond the "wobbly on the feet" stage and learning what it's like to make little barking noises.

Are you crate training him? That can make it easier to housebreak him. It's a lot of work teaching a puppy, but the rewards are so worth it.

Actually, we didn't have to "train" him w the crate. We had it there and he just went in it when he was tired. :) that was it.
He's doing great!! Learning his name, going to the door when he needs to do his biz, getting pretty good w/ sit and come. We got him on the leash pronto!!! Pretty much have him on the leash all day except when he's sleeping.
We work w/ him A LOT on the training and getting him used to our world and socializing. These are critical learning learning times for that stuff, thats why I'm being so diligent in getting him used to the rig right off and getting him innthe shop. Don't get much done right now, but... It worth it!!:)

I didn't know these things w/ gunner.... Now I have the opportunity to take advantage of that knowledge gained.
Yes... He is gonna be a BEAST!!! dad was 135 lbs mom was 140 at c section. Our vet just laughed when he saw him for the first time. "oh he's so small, and how quickly that's gonna change!!" in a week he's gained 2 lbs.

His name is Wrigley!! :)

Yeah... Especially a freshly built one!!!
I didn't really think about that till d'animal brought that up.

So where are you going to fit 140ish lbs of dawg, camping gear, you and wife in a 40???:p

Yeah, he has beagles they are tracking dogs so I'd imagine their sense of smell is pretty acute.

I'm thinking that when I don't have a passenger, I was gonna build a platform for him on the PS and pull the seat.
When I do have a pass. I'm gonna have to figure something out. All gear on one side and the pooch on the other.
It'll be an issue that will need to be addressed SOON, though!!
Ill have a roof rack for summer and I was planning on also building a shelf inside the cage for the small light gear.....

No idea... As I said!!

Did that when our first Doberman was a pup at S&T. The stuff fell on him and now he shakes every time he rides in the cruiser now. Two people's-worth of stuff just barely fits in the back with no Doberman, let alone the behemoth that you are going to end up with.

Yeah... I'm gonna have to work something out.
Donno if I wanna take him on trails like rubicon or anything, but short weekend runs like deer valley, Barney Riley and such... I think the roof rack will be key!!! I can get all of the soft, light stuff up there and just strap the coolers down (very well) in the back. I made the bin for the tools, fluids and spares (the more dangerous stuff). Well just have to wait and see!!
If it's just him and I though... I'll probably, like I said, pull the seat and have a platform for him!!

I want a trailer for camp .... But around here we base camp Wheelin ... Do y'all do more long trail and camp on the way ??? Love your 40 still thinkin of makin my 42 more like yours ...
