I think you should rip it out and start over, then the official lighting up ceremony would be postponed. :flipoff2:

JK, I'd kick you in the nuts if you did that.

Then run like hell and change my name. :grinpimp:

I'd pay to see that, LOL

just wondering what kind of medical coverage do you have, does it cover long term care????:D:D

I considered it but in the interest of domestic tranquility abandoned the idea.

In other words I'm too scared to even mention the idea to :princess:

LOL...with your wife, I can see why you would be! She would be PISSED!!! I could just hear that conversation..."ummmm, hunny, I think Im gonna skip the wedding and stay to see Keith fire his rig." ....Long pause...."You WHAT!?!?!?!?!"

Pretty dam good work for a nurse :D... seriously, you should be very proud of your work... Your 40 is one of the best looking i have seen in a long time... I will have to visit my uncle that lives in Pahrump and take a road trip to see your 40 while i am there...

Thanks man! I appreciate the props! If youre in town...let us know!

Ray,
See you in the AM! I totally appreciate the help getting Matti to and from the shop!!!!
I owe you BIG TIME!

Cleaned out the back of the rig, took it off the rollers ready to go to the exhaust shop tomorrow.
The E brake doesnt work...donno why just yet. I pull the handle and she still rolls free like the cable isnt pulling the bell cranks. That was a drag.
Im gonna need some bigger tires!!!! The 35's just look SOOOOO SMALL!:hhmm::grinpimp:

BIG DAY TOMORROW!!!!:bounce::bounce2:

Your traction bar is on upside lower.... This really is really the trunk yes? the extended (complete continuous) section needs to be in the base affixing for the shackle, not the surface of the.

What that has now done is putting forces (a lot more drive that's most frequent) within the lower bar pushing wherever the two tubes mix developing a weak area. Once the lower was the primary one attached to the shackle it could ensure it is more effective. Now all of your bars are pretty extended and meet near the joint within the shackle along with your truck is light to not need an problem. Nonetheless, the thing is things i am saying. Company I realize the surface of the might have the "pull" effect since the lower gets the "push" effect, nevertheless it seems in my opinion the push may have more prominence inside the pull. Take a look in a few not successful trac bar designs just in case your hazy still.

Incorrect. It makes no difference. If it were mirrored the end of the wrap bar would still be put into bending by nearly an identical force. A better design would have the work point closest to the end as possible to minimise the bending.
Hmm, thats kinda what I had always thought too but for whatever reason was swayed to believe otherwise.

oh well, as long at it works! May also open some options for me when I make the new one for my new rear axle, I know I dont have much to work with room wise anymore.

So, Ray got to the house at around 9 AM. He has a SWEET trailer set up equipped with hydraulic tilt and an 8274 winch. We got it down to the shop about 930. We took off and got a bite to eat and BS'd for about hour and a half and went back...
NOT MUCH PROGRESS had happened. As I told them...this is gonna be a tough route. So we hung out and watched them work and got to see the whole thing come together. They did a GREAT JOB. We ended up NEEDING to run a 24 in glass pack. Im a bit concerned with how loud that'll be, but well just have to see. There is just such a limited space to work with....if needed, later he could add a second glass pack muffler, but I really like the one that's in. Its un obtrusive and everything is accessable with it in.
We just got home around 345, so it did take em quite a bit longer than originally thought.

PICS!

First about to load her up
next...this is the first time she has seen sunlight
up on the hoist.

Thanks again Ray for the help today!!!

Might want to put a flex coupler on that betweent the Y pipe and the muffler. It'll keep it alive longer.

No problem anytime...

thanks for lunch, and it was fun watching someone who has been doing exhaust longer than I've been alive figure it out how to route it..

Mace, with the way they did the hangers it shouldn't be an issue, it can move arround and has pleanty of clearance everywhere, They really took time to fit it all, alot of the bends dont show up in the pix, the crossover alone has 6-7 bends at mulitple angles,

Its always an issue on a wheeling rig. :meh:

side note saw this on the way to Keith's.. not everyday you see wild mustangs in a neighborhood..

You might want to add a 90° down turn on the tip, I can pretty much guarantee you will get exhaust inside the way it is.

You do if you live where we do. They're like friggin seagulls down here, crapping all over the place. Kind of like living in the 1800's, with out the guys going around cleaning up after the draft animals.

Last week Reno PD and Washoe animal control had to put one down over by Veterans and Steamboat. It had a broken leg and a big gash in it's side, probably standing in the middle of the road asleep and got hit by a car.
