I've had some good ideas... I mean look at your fuel filler neck now. I motivated you to re do the whole thing! Lmao!!

Not much time today being it was fathers day, but this AM I got the hood latches re set and welded in, finished some welding on the tub and started cleaning some parts to be painted. Talked with RustyTLC re. mounting the 2M, NMO mount and also conferred with cruiserdrew on the topic as well.

Snapped off a few pics with the front end completely assembled....Even multi colored as it is right now....it looks SOOOOOOOO FAWKING GOOOOOOOOD!!!! Its just starting to click that im getting close to the end of this project.:bounce::steer::bounce2::steer:

Im gonna have a party at the house when this is over!!!

Yea ... That did happen

Starting to take shape. I like the fuel can carriers they are nicely tucked away and you can remove when not needed. Can't remember but did you decide on paint color?

Thanks man. Yes on the paint color. Silver and black (trim). Need something that will be cool in the sun and not so apt to show scratches and such. There was a rig in TT that was this color scheme (where I got the idea for it from) that just looked bad ass. It was on the cover of the mag about a year ago.
Anyway. That's what I'm doing.

You absolutely inspired me to get back to it.

Since I began reading your thread, I have.

Converted to Propane

upped to 30 spline longs (from old ringed ones)

installed Allied beadlocks and 37 inch Iroks

Fabricated a dual swing out tire carrier system for my FJ-62 and am currently finishing a single swing for my 40.

ETC. ETC. ETC.

Now, all I need is a knuckle rebuild kit so I can get rid of the damn death wobble those Iroks gave me. I guess 4 pounds on the scale is not a good sign lol.

Keep it up and don't get burned out, there are a ton of people that are excited (not as much as you) to this rig get done.

Btw, your welds have progressed from nice to awesome.

It is looking good!!!!

By the way, you probably already know this, but you need to remove all felt marker marks before you paint. They WILL bleed through the paint, at least house paint anyway. Experience.

I just now noticed them on your front fenders.

Don

I stopped by Casa Chicago Sunday for a few minutes, you really have to see the truck in person to appreciate it. Lots of attention to detail and fit.

Kind of makes me embarrassed to drive my more "rustic" Cruiser.

Thanks for the kind words gents!!
Welding almost everyday for a year and a half can really up your skills. :) that being said, I do really appreciate the props as I'm self taught in this hobby.

I actually did NOT know that, so thanks for the tip. Ill wipe the whole thing down with acetone before I shoot, so that should take the marker OFF.
