We'll be doing the first tech trail run of the season Saturday, I'll flip him off as we drive by his house. That should kick him into high gear.

Got home from Mexico Monday, got the tacoma loaded Tues and went to Death Valley Wed- Sun for the annual Blotch run. Now Im back home, refreshed after a nice long 2 week break. A little shaky from ETOH withdrawl, but other than that...Im glad to be home and ready to settle back into life and get back to FINISHING this thing.
Mace...I was in Beatty NV. for a spell this weekend and THOUGHT I had your number, but checked my phone and DIDNT. I THOUGHT you lived close to there???? Maybe next time.
Ill be getting back on the rig this week and back to the tech. I figured in my hiatus that I would continue with the fender skirt the way I have been in the last batch of photos, but drop the back edge down a bit more and run it that way.

Beatty, Las Vegas, practically the same thing. It's only 120 miles between them.
You forgot to mention Eddie World BTW. Eddie World is a must do when the greater Beatty Metro area IMHO.

So....RIGHT BACK AT IT!!!!
Had a bit of time yesterday afternoon. Filled in that lower section toward the rear with a scrap piece, tacked it in. Looked pretty good, so I cut it back out, made a template and cut it on the plasma, bent it up and tack welded it in. Then, I made MOST of the brackets to make it a bolt up set up. Not sure how I wanna tackle the front portion of the skirt though. The ford towers DO cause an issue as far as lending stability to the skirt. Id have to cut out a LOT of the sheet that is in the pics posted earlier.
Ill just HAVE to cut it out for that section and make a determination from there. Illl post pics later.

Good to see you back, hurry up and finish this thing. You missed a good run Saturday, Bronco Canyon is completely different this year. I doubt a stocker could make it through with moving a lot of rock.

I was actually upset that you stopped working on this do go on vacation lol. It was my motivation to finish and get my FJ40 ready for Moab this weekend, which I did, so you best get at it.
