What's the deal with interest in various non-North American parts? Lots of folks make noises but is the $$ there? We can get H41 trannys, both split and single piece transfer case styles, clean, rust free HJ60 frames (can be adapted to BJ/FJ60's by relocating engine mounts or we might find the odd one, like the one going under my truck later this year) as well as clean BJ40 and BJ/HJ45 frames, barn doors for '60's, diesel A/C components, '70 series parts, '45 pickup parts, troopy parts, 16" split rims, "B" (B, 11B, 13B and 3B) and "H" (H and 2H) series diesel parts including exhaust brakes (Dyna trucks) and other parts. Sorry, no lockers sold here (I was hoping too)!

If there is enough interest, with $$ to back it up, we could get a container going to the east or west coast of the states or Canada!

Remember that these would all be used parts, NOT new, in other words a cleaning and possible overhaul of the mechanical parts wouldn't be a bad idea, but we won't intentionally send junk. Also all parts are not always available so be prepared to wait for the parts and for a full container.

Post up with desired part needs and potential value to you so we can gauge interest.

The question is what is that stuff worth to you vs what we can get it and ship it for. In other words a bit of a bid. Remember it is used and an overhaul is always a good idea on used mechanicals. I won't hold you to buying anything at this time just to find out what it might sell for. It makes no sense for us to buy something for $100 and get $110, that's just not worthwhile. We need to run around to find stuff, pull it, pack it, ship it etc. etc. Shipping onesy twosy doesn't make sense either, unless you want to pay the ride, so we'd need a container to make it feasible as well as someone who will receive and distribute in the states/Canada (anyone interested on either coast, perferably with import/export experience).

I understand. On the flip side, an h41 tranny that needs to be rebuilt is not worth much in my opinion. If it is anything like an h42 (which I would think it is), then they are typically NOT rebuilt and another tranny is located for under 100.00 in good condition.

I would imagine that there would be MANY persons interested in h41 trannies IF they were in good running condition. If you are wanting a price idea, I would pay ~250.00 for an h41 in good condition plus whatever shipping costs apply.

That's the sort of feedback that we're looking for.

These trannys could possibly be used "As Is" but my opinion on used mechanicals from a wreckers is to rebuild so you know what you have. They would need bearings and syncros as a worst case. If needed they could be refurbished here as well (low labour costs and you're helping the Central American economy) if that is a more desired method.

I think AC components would sell well, since the non AC diesels cruisers are seeping down to our warmer climate. 7x parts aren't easy to come by but then again there aren't many 7x's around. Obviously 40 and 60 series parts are somewhat available here so the market is somewhat crowded. I wouldn't say by any means the LC parts market is saturated . Let me know when/if you bring in a container.

Sorry not so insightful today.

45 LWB tailgate, $250 to $400 if in good shape. They would bring more but I'm cheap. Also 70 series turn signals might bring in some coin for others. OEM soft top frame, $300. Early steering wheels, not cracked, $30 to $50. Chrome hood ornament, $25. 40 windshield frame, wiper on bottom, $150 to $250+ depending on condition and how complete. The key to body parts is low/no rust. Also neat-o non USA stuff, like drop down tailgates for 40's.

i'm interested in gettin one and i know of others in my area who would like one as well as long as they are in good shape
