Check engine light came on with VSC/Track after replacing a fuel cap with new OEM. It's been a few days and it's still on. Haven't had a chance to run codes but I am thinking it' the cap. What do you gents think it might be?

Grab the codes and report back. Any parts store will give them to you.

Why did you replace the cap?

And the winner is..........the cap! I had to re-tighten it past the one click for the check engine light to go off. Kind of strange that the new cap needs that much pressure. I even double checked the part number to make sure it's the right one. Will keep an eye on it, hopefully it'll break-in and function normally.

The old cap looked really tired and the new one was on sale for I think $12.00 so why not.

Glad you got it figured out – most people get the new cap after they get the evap code, you just did it in reverse, ha.
