Cheap Front Bumpers?

Its not 1200 for a chinese bumper... Say 10 people want it then its 10X300 ; 3k plus the 800 shipping so about 3.8k/10 people is 380$ per bumper to my understanding as the 800 is for a freight container, so the more people that were to order the cheaper it'd be...

Good luck finding enough people to bring it down to the same level of something that which is both of higher quality and already available here. If you can't afford to do it once, you better be able to afford to do it twice.

I can see cheaping out on an occasional use winch or trail tools, but a bumper that's going to protect you in a crash?

As a patriotic American and veteran, thank you for your sacrifice and commitment obligation.

It's as patriotic as it gets in my apartment! All of us are becoming PA's or Docs in the Army! HOAH!

If you propose a Chinese product on MUD prepare to get blasted. That's just the way it goes.

I'd say if you can get the price below $400 with freight it might be worth it depending on your intended use. Otherwise, I would seriously SERIOUSLY consider the BIOR bumper. Dealing direct with china can be a real PITA.

Have you checked around at local fab shops? They may be able to put something together if you aren't on a time crunch and can leave your truck for awhile.

The Trail Gear is Real Ugly, though.

x1000. I have never liked stingers. personal opinion. Mike at BIOR does excellent work if that is your style though

I know of multiple people that have picked up used ARBs for $500. Check the classifieds and Craigslist.

I practically gave my old ARB bumper away. Along with the winch mounting kit and hi-lift mount kit. It did have a little damage though :hillbilly:.

I'd take a damaged ARB over a new Chinese bumper. I'm not a huge fan of the ARBs but I'd take it.

Damn if I could find an ARB for even 600 I'd be a real happy camper

Unfortunately, arbs are going up in price. I sell them, just don't advertise them anymore. Bought one for my 15yo nephew who is getting an 80 for his first car. They are now about $80-100 more, my cost, than the last time I sold one. Guess Malaysia wants better wages :)

I've got another in the shop that's going on my kids truck, along with a lift and tires. She doesn't like small trucks.

Another option that is made in the USA. 1990 - 1997 FJ80/FZJ80 winch bumper kit I put on their rear last month. Extremely beefy, you can search for the other thread on NWTI.

Looks like they sell front/rear package deals too, thats pretty cool.

Ok, so keep shopping. Better yet buy an inexpensive 115V flux core wire feed welder (that was probably made in China) and build your own. Learning to weld will be fun.
considered my options and found a 90$ one on amazon, its MIG... is that okay for my environment/ purpose of building sliders/ bumpers?

You found a new welder fir $90? LOL! Now you are just being ridiculous and asking for problems. My simple answer is No.

Its got a 4.3 stars with a couple hundred ratings.... I know nothing about welding, but I do know a thing or two about Eukaryote Genetics

Pretty much new price for chapy mig. Keep an eye out for a better value. Member here just picked up hobart handler, with gas and reg, cart, tons of anscellaries, and a grinder for 300.

While not the best ive burnt through some projects with a cheap HF mig welder. The flux will be a little sloppy and require some cleanup but its a decent intro to learning. You could run gas but will triple your investment. Practice x10 before melting the final production.

Its done PS conversions, crossmembers, a bumper, and lots of bracketry and best of all it will make you appreciate a real wleder when you upgrade ;)

Not mine..... CL ad

I like Bump it off road's bumper a lot and was ready to pull the trigger this time last year when Mike told me it was 12 week out. I replied I happy you busy but may be you could have said something in the first couple of emails. I ended up with a Costa Fabs front, yes it was twice as much but I think its twice as good. This thing is Beefy #/8 winch mount 1/4 centers & 3/16 wings. It's been tested and can take abuse
