CB Mount Help Needed! (1 Viewer)

So I am desperately trying to fill this CB Mount that looks to be a dealer installed accessory on my newly acquired 1979 FJ40. So far, I can only find 3.5" ball mounts but they are way too big for the pre-drilled holes. They are usually 2" to the center and these holes are closer to 1". I assume a vintage CB mount was smaller than today's mounts? Any ideas or suggestions on where I could source a mount? Anyone had this issue before? I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Thought i've seen an old cb antenna mounted, that could be cool. Anything else?

Please look at post #4 on this thread. People / dealers back then knew nothing about antenna mounting FUNCTION. Now, if you want to be nostalgic and put an antenna in there , go ahead. I prefer functionality. I would fill the hole with metal as when Toyota built it. If I want a CB,I Would buy a roof antenna kit.
