This 1996 HZJ80, VXR; this truck was a government vehicle in Saudi Arabia. Close inspection of the uber side shows no off road use.

The seats and steering wheel indicate that it hasn’t been used much. The truck just arrived in Mississippi.

* original body with White color and fenders with no damage or rust.
* Barn doors with a spare carrier.
* Clean beige interior.
* 1HZ 6 cylinder, 12 valves, no turbo
* Dual diesel tanks, fully functional
* Five-speed manual, H150F, part-time Tcase
* Dual AC and cooling box.

The following service was done in Saudi
* timing belt
* Radiator OEM
* belt and tensioner
* head gasket
* heater core with used unit

Exterior
* repainted the over fenders with new OEM small parts
* Repainted touch up areas.
* Detailed the body and removed the old strips
* new OEM stripes (pretty rare to find)

Cost is 52k USD

One that went through the same auction as this one without the engine maintenance, higher miles, a non functioning aux tank and non OEM stripes recently sold on BAT for $45,000.

Im a documented diesel hater and I'm really kind of shocked at how well this thing moves. Zero smoke. Quiet inside.

Most of the ones I wheel with or have worked on here have been "modified" and all that does is make them have high EGTs and smoke a lot.
 
I know. My HZJ80 drove well enough that I didn’t miss the turbo - like a 3FE but with more torque and guts - but my truck was so bare bones. I can only imagine how nicely this one drives.

Are we ever gonna convert you to compression ignition, Grogan?

Maybe when I can buy a new one with LHD from Saudi with a modern diesel.

Nolen noted an issue with the antenna and the barn-opening handle. Today, I bought a rebuild and a handle. I'll bring them with me this month to the USA.
