So cool, good luck in the race!

Do you guys use factory UCAs and LCAs?

Correct, all our UCA's, LCA's, sway bars, Track bars, etc come right from the dealership. Class rules allow us to make massive shock improvements but mounting locations for the control arms and the arms themselves have to stay stock.

will the new hood get signed as well?

best of luck guys! will be web watching again.

That’s interesting and awesome. Thank you

Excuse me if this has been covered earlier in thread, but is there a “lift” aside from a body lift? If so, how is the caster corrected with factory UCAs? Not a concern in a race truck?

We'd love to get the new hood signed, the old one is now shop art.

Thanks for following along!

All adjustment is via the factory lower cam bolt setup and we get it close to spec. With the bodylift, trimmed fenders and a minimal suspension lift (2"?) the 37's clear.

She done... ready for the race after approx 200 man hours of prep work and ~$14k in replacement parts and spares. We have some decals to place on the new hood (LCD and Maxtrax ) and we'll check fluids in MX. Other than that, wish us luck!

Now to start prepping chase trucks and pack.

Great job it looks great and ready to kick@ss, best of luck looking forward to following the team in action

Yes, we can and do trim fenders. I cut these ones and welded a small price of round stock to reinforce the edge. Keep in mind that is a true 37" tire.

Awesome. So did you guys switch for 35s to 37s?

I noticed the body mount at the rear of the front tire has a little chop too for clearance.

Any guess as to why some many people feel the need to swap to aftermarket control arms?

It's always had 37's Baja TA's

More travel, more adjustment. We would run different control arms if class rules allowed it, that any hydraulic bumpstops :D

Wondering what our hit list included?

Basically every part of the suspension replaced, every axle bearing replaced front and rear, diffs replaced and or pulled apart and inspected. All new steering, fluids, shocks rebuilt. It's a nauseating amount of work but I love 200's. Sorry for the my sloppy handwriting!

Kurt, if your class did allow aftermarket UCA/LCA's what kind would you guys go with? Adjustable SPC type, or the more fixed Total Chaos type, or maybe a 3rd option??

Great question, likely the SPC forged variants if/when allowed. I run the SPC on my personal 200 and have sold and installed hundreds, great results and faith.

I did SPC UCAs because post-lift I couldn't get more than ~1.5 degrees of caster, even with the cams fully spun.

This would make a great screensaver image ;)

There have been a handful of mentions and a couple threads about specific races but we figure it was time to really document a bit more about the vehicle, how we came to race it, how we inherited the build, the things we have changed, how and what we prep and replace before each race, etc.

We'll kick it off with a pic
