Can U tell if it is a Solid Axle from these photos?

Hi,
Before I go drive to look at this truck, I was hoping one of you taco experts can tell me if you think this truck has a solid front axle. Sorry, I don't have any other photos.

If I had to guess, i would say no, year maybe a 90?

Exactly why I am asking you guys... . I just like to say taco when I type.

No this is sitting in a salvage/lean tow yard. Just browsing and came across this thing. Most likely it's hodged podged together if it's looking weird.

They're not wierd, they're just 2wd stuff. Fenders, bed and grille, all 2wd. Make sure truck is even 4wd much less a solid axle. Check to see if it has 6 lug or 5 lug axles. 5 lug means 2wd. 6 lug means 4wd. Also, the lack of vent windows on the doors usually indicates a 2wd. Not always, but usually.

I'd say if it is a solid axle truck it was a 2wd conversion and 2wd frames are weaker than 4wd versions.

Yeah what he said. I looks like a 2wd truck lifted.
 
In the 2nd pic, I can see enough to indicate a IFS front. Agreed, the body is from a 2wd.

2wd + IFS = :thumbs down:
 
It has 2WD fenders and bed.
I don't think that grill style was used on 4WD trucks.
Front cross member is not SA.
Headrests are 88+/-. Older trucks were different.
Door mirrors are 88+/-.

I agree with lifted 2WD.

Good question. Once I played with the brightness/contrast/magnification, there definately appears to be hubs. It could be something on the rim, but it appears to be located dead center and about the right size for hubs. :cheers:

Could be 4WD.
 
Looks like a stock 2wd to me. Looking at the first picture I see how you guys can think it might be lifted but from the second picture it looks like a bone stock 2WD to me. Maybe 30" tires or something to give it the look of being lifted from that one angle. but pretty sure its a stock 2wd
 
It could just be my eyes playing tricks on my but i think i see diff in the second picture and not enough crap in the way to be IFS..and those could be hubs like everyones saying..Have you tried calling the place and just asking someone to check?
