ce that can be replaced. School me fellas.

Looks like you need a core support.
its the smaller panel behind headlight I just realized picture sucked Ill post another tomorrow my bad Im going replace both side and make the new cuts cleaner and stronger.

man those inner fender well are $$$$$$

You are better off buying a complete, used core support. The end pieces that the headlights bolt to are actually joined together by the lower horizontal span with weld joints. Just the upper horizontal span is bolted in.

I would either repair the cracked inner fender (apron) or buy a used part from a part out rig.

yea I repaired passenger side last year but shes cracking up so I will have to go that route Ill do it out west this winter as well as re line her out west. gonna have to call in a few favors.

@slow95z may have what you need

I have seen that on a few where the core support was trimmed. I suspect its because the lower supporting structure was cut out leaving the remaining weight to stress the rest of the core support. That lower piece is much thicker and stronger than the metal that is left after trimming. I think if you replaced it, you would just see the same problem again.

Here's a pic of what makes up the core support and where I have seen it trimmed for clearance.

@baldilocks ain’t bluffing bud, you prob would be best with a core support as it may extend beyond what you can pic.

- You may be hunting deer, but you bring enough to fend off bear. My ( & I bet @baldilocks) -way of thinking here too.

Have @slow95z just ship you the full support if you want a bolt-in job, otherwise IIRC you’re drilling spot welds & welding in stuff. Either way, you choose. I weld & I’d sooner buy a full support / paint to match & hot-swap it.

I endorse this announcement.

Clean it up and tack weld it every other inch where it’s split. Fill rest with outdoor rated vinyl calking paint over. Easy peasy.
What type of solder should be used? Thank you. Today I realized that my truck is broken on the passenger side. Is this due to body mounts or bases in poor condition?

most likely the rubber body mount bushings have collapsed causing the cracks.

The best way to tack weld is with a gas mig welder, but I have gotten away with a cheap flux feed from HF.
