I needed a new grill for cooking meat over fires. I found a cool idea online and copied it.

I saw one of these spare tire grills at the land cruiser museum and had to get it.

Works great. We would just flip it over and rub the grill around in the sand to clean it. You could also hit it with a right angle grinder and wire wheel when you get home. The hardware that comes with the grill is a little cheesey but stayed on our back tire under our trasharoo all through Baja with out falling off.

I've used one for a few years. The hardware needs to be replaced with higher quality hardware that can withstand higher temps. I try to clean the road grime off mine with a grill brush before cooking on it.

Do we need a tetanus shot after eating the meat? Great idea man.;)
