Hope this isn’t a dead thread but what’s up party people; working on my SAS right now. 3 link, 9.5” etc.

Anyone got geometry numbers from Triaged 3 link calculator?
Biggest hang up right now is my upper link frame bracket. Gotta keep the cats for CA smog reasons for now. If anyone wants to share a picture of their upper link frame bracket that would be neat. I like plagiarizing.

I think it's a dead thread. In fact, just in general a lot of SAS threads on this MUD 100 forum are pretty inactive or get much activity, because no one really has done or are doing it and are still regularly posting in 2024. Especially 3-linked, Diamond 9.5s like you're doing. There's more guys doing the 80 series axle with radius arms that I see. I follow your SAS thread but often don't see a lot of immediate responses to your questions. Which is a shame, I'd like to see you get it going because I'm very, very tempted to copy-and-paste your blueprint and having my 100 SAS'd and linked as well. Of course I don't have those fab skills and probably would need to pay someone, but interested in the parts you use, the geometry, things to be aware of and the work needed to have it dialed in.

We went with the TT kit as well (80 axle w/ radius arms) and have been happy with it. It would be great to link it one day, but for what we do, it's practical for driving throughout the Southeast to wheel and drive back home. I spoke to @UZJ105 and a few others and knew what we were getting into with the kit.

I’ve witnessed that as well. I wonder why it’s so dead. If this was another mini truck build I would understand, it’s been done a million times. Custom 100 series don’t seem to get a lot of attention now. Maybe I should have gone long arm IFS… I’ll keep posting though. I hope it gives people motivation to build their own.

That’s the motivation

Let me correct myself - "I like to see yourself complete" and not "get it going" since you are well pretty deep in the mix of the whole process. 100s by the numbers is a decent sized group but nowhere near the sheer numbers of Tacoma owners, let's say. Manufacturers and fabbers aren't going to have kits and production parts for 100 series folks like they do for Tacos, so you're part of a very small group of pioneers who have to blaze their own path!

I occasionally chat with Owen on social media (Track N Trail) and I had posted a pic of your build-in-progress on my stories, and he messaged me and said you guys are buds. Not sure how the Pirate forums are doing (probably lots of inactivity there too?) but good luck! Can't wait to see the final product. Wish I could share information with you, but I don't know sh*t.

Yea that build is boss. Seems more like a necessity to trailer that everywhere though. I'd love to have a SAS rig actually pull up to the trailhead the next state or two over, so a crate axle with smaller meats than 42s is in my mind.

Solid build. Been following too.

@RustyLinkz More 3-link inspiration for you...

That’s funny, small world. He’s one of my best friends.
Pirate isn’t a buzzing as it used to be either. But there a bunch of good info on there, just gotta dig deep.
100s are definitely a smaller community and 90% of the 100s are hardly modified (custom fab modified). Maybe when they get cheaper people won’t feel so bad cutting them up.

Thanks bro, I’ll update my thread in the next few days.
