I'm planning to order 4 new wheels on Monday to match the steel spare I have. As seen in the photos here.

$105 a piece, heavy duty steel, match the spare I already have... Anybody got any better ideas before I pull the trigger?

I just sold them... I was never really happy with them... They stuck out a bit far, the lug nuts didn't fit very well, I had to use a thin-walled socket to get them off.............. JDM bling.

what size are you getting?
have you tried west shore spring and offroad...

i was pricing out some 16.5 x 8 for a 6 on 5.5 and it was a decent price for steel wheels...

16x8... I'll try West Shore on Monday see what their price is, thanks for the suggestion.

not a good off road tire for airing down... the sidewalls have trouble flexing... but the tires would be a good daily driver tire.. do to not wearing as fast as a normal tire... this is based on the research that i have done on them...

I was kinda thinking the opposite....

Creative siping could yield some great patterns......

Air down to single digits and some surface area could be gained, thus leading to a grippy durable tire.

I think Ken can attest to military tire durability. I seem to remember he didn't even pack a spare... just a plug kit.

My .02

I love how my thread on new wheels has turned into new $$$ tires... You guys all gonna chip in to buy them for me LOL??? Anyway my old wheels are packaged up ready to ship, so I will be ordering black steelies today. (And keeping my old tires!)

Or maybe I should keep these on my truck??? What the photo doesn't show is that they are only 7" wide...

This is why they tell you to retorque your wheels 50 kms after putting them on...

crap..

Many moons ago did the 3 point slide into my highschool parking lot in my vw bug .

In my case the wheel that came off made it two blocks down wakesiah in nanaimo.... thank jeebus it didn't hit anyone.

Oh no!

that sucks... any damage aside from your pride, the little plastic bit and your lack of studs?

No damage that I could see... Even the studs seem ok. I'll have a closer look tonight. Now the question is, should I try to put this flare back on, or take all my fender flares off??? I kind of like the flareless look...

crap..

Ive done that damn bum thing twice. Rear dust covers have the bottoms scrabed clean off! lol

Nathaniel.... you are lucky not to have damaged your truck more. Or hit anyone with the delinquent tire!

I say keep the flares.
