squeal like a

Took a look at this one today; body is pretty straight, frame looks good. Ran down the road ok. Lot of bondo in the roof and driver side rocker. Has a few mechanical issues. No interior. Shoot me a pm for details (I'll probably just want to call.) The ad is pretty accurate; I did not see the second/parts pig mentioned.

Don't they change in length by about 5 inches when the 4 speed went in?

I think You are correct. So I need a 74-when they went to the floor mounted lever, 79- 80?

97 Landcruiser with bad engine. Need to sell

I registered today in hopes of advice concerning the value of my 97 cruiser. I drove it for 11+ years and loved it. At 190k miles the engine began knocking and Beaman, et al., said the cost of repair would greatly exceed the cost of a replacement engine and installations. I struggled to find a replacement engine and decided to get another cruiser instead. I now drive a '02 with 115k miles. The old cruiser is under my carport and I'm ready to sell it. I just don't know what the value is given its current condition. Any thoughts/advice/interest is appreciated.

Marcus the value could vary greatly depending on the condition of everything else since the engine is shot.

Agreed, might be worth more to part it out, or to sell it to someone as either a project or for them to part if you don't have the time, space or just don't want to or can't bare to takeit apart.

I'm sure someone would be glad to help you evaluate the rig as a whole or for parts, just let us know.

Idiot driver hit my LC

New owner. Land Rover convert (mostly) and I just finished most of the PM two weekends ago.
So, I'm needing parts for my '94 FJ80 and I'd prefer to deal local as some of them are bigger. Also will need to know who to have paint it once repairs are finished.

Hopefully will be a good excuse to drink some beer and put a real bumper on it.

yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense from looking at the photos. Here is the missing part of the story in photos.

Ford truck was going way too fast down Lookout Mountain by Rock City. Wife and kids were going to Trick or Treat up there. Ford truck loses the back end and swerves almost headlong into the corrola in front of us. My wife says the corrola got pushed back into her -either way it stopped quickly and she hit the back end it and the ford hit the front driver's side corner of the LC and slid along the side. In the photos you can't see the damage along the side the cruiser but it's there.

No structural damage but lots of cosmetic. Most likely they will total it out and I plan on buying it back at this point.

Everyone is ok. My wife is sore but nothing else. Apparently the kids didn't even cry.
And yes, they did get to trick or treat!
