Free parts - Buford Ga

I've some parts that came with my FJ40 when I bought it a few years ago that I will never use so I'm offering them up to whoever wants them. You will have to come pick up what you want. I live in Buford.
Gas Tank - PO says it does not leak
Radiator - PO says it does not leak
Hardtop sides - rusty where they meet the tub. one side has glass
Front seats - tops and bottoms, red(very red), no frames

Looking for a 40

Hello all.
Newbie here. Up in NW GA
Have thought about getting a Jeep but then I realized why not get something different.
I worked for Toyota back in the '80's and always liked the FJ40.

Anyway

Anybody know a decent FJ40 for sale.
Not many on craigslist.
I am a mechanic and bodyman by trade so I am able to fix most any problems.

Hey and welcome. What kind of condition/modifications are you looking for? A real nice one in great shape in Athens went last week for $10,500. On the other end you can find rust buckets for ~$1,500. There are often 40s on Craigs list and on eBay which you can search my location such as 100 miles from a zip code.

Join up for a meeting next Tuesday July 2nd at Fudrucker's by Perimeter mall. 7:30. We meet the first Tuesday of every month there.
 
FYI...July 2nd is actually a Thursday. Next meeting will be Tuesday July 7th at Fuddruckers

Toyota diesels are quite reliable. There are lots of different engines, however. What truck/engine and where is it so we can go snap it up :)

Actually it is only about 62k miles......it is 99kilo

Not mint but not a rust bucket either.

From pics I have it doesn't look to have any major rust
Just a little tough to drive 300 miles to inspect.

Not sure what it worth.......being RH drive and all

I would guess most parts are same as LHD

What are they asking for it? Just curious what an 81 diesel around these parts would sell for---Dave

$5k may be getting close to the what the truck could be parted out for; so if you offer that, you might want to be prepared split the difference when you are done negotiating. Good luck. A 40 series with a factory diesel engine should be a very nice truck.

Thanks for the info.
I figured that would at least be a good starting point and splitting the difference would be about what I would expect.
I just don't know if I could fit that in the budget.
 
Needed for '93 80 series:
Passenger side rearview mirror insert. (The part with the glass and motors for adjustment). I can still use one with bad glass, the tabs on the back that attach to the mirror housing is what is broken on mine.

Drivers side tailight lens.
