We put 34x10.5 on Heather's 80. I like them a lot. I'd call them skinny.

I'm not much of a fan of the dryer lint balls. Shannon made some for a beach camping trip. They lit easy enough but within a few seconds they were burned out. She made a dozen and we used all of them within a few minutes and the fire still wasn't started.

My preferred fire starter is waxed facial rounds (wow that sounds nasty). I have a old pot filled with candle wax. I heat the pot up and use twizzers to dip facial rounds into the wax. The key is to not submerge the whole round but rather leave a unwaxed naked edge. To use them, light the unwaxed edge. The edge will light quickly and the rest of the waxed cotton burns slowly. These stack nicely in a altoids tin and last about 7 minutes from first light to flame out.

I used to keep my egg cartons and fill them paper towels for camping this isn't very space friendly but always worked really well.

@lumbee1 gonna give pads a try I like how small they are and really seems like one of the best options.

Not sure if it would be a good option but I have those little fuel bars for my one pot stove I think they are pretty cheap and burn for a while not sure how well they would work for lighting a biger fire though..... weekend challenge

I actually do a combination of what several people have stated.

I use egg cartons, fill with dryer lint and then pour parafin wax on top.

You can just pull a fire egg off each time you need a fire.

Cotton balls and petroleum jelly is what I take backpacking. I put about 12 in a snack size zip-lock, and smush it down. It works well in my Vargo. The whole cooking system, including mug, weighs about 8oz.
