I have talked to this seller at length several times and exchanged lots of pictures and information about his Lx450 and I don’t think you will find a more honest and straight forward long term seller. Lots of flippers on Mud nowadays and this is definitely the opposite of that. A very nice clean 80 series here.

Still for sale.

As an aside I've been busy looking at 100's and I may end up keeping Hella auxiliary lights and winch. If you're on the fence and don't consider these essential items I would take $1000 off without winch or lights.

Afraid I'm in the market for a 200... appreciate the kind words.

SOLD

I've updated the thread, YES the truck is up for sale... again.

Maybe just Color blind? It's listed in Red at $10,000. I don't think I am being partial saying it's a deal at that price compared to others I've seen around same stats.

Don't mean to get off topic, but I noticed in your sig line you have two legends (40 and 80). In terms of shear grin factor, how would you compare your 40 to the 80?

Anyways, feel free to PM me and we can talk over the phone if you have any questions.

Did you pull the wiring for the arb compressor or leave it in place?

I'm curious if anyone has an idea of what the chances of getting that rear elocker functional again is. I'm a bit concerned that it might not be a simple fix

TuffMudder,

In regards to the compressor I pulled everything. It'll either be going in the Tundra or whatever I get to replace the 80.

Concerning the rear locker,
This is conjecture from conversations in person with ACC, but I did have them take a look at it while they HG and front axle were getting rebuilt. Of course this is all external without taking apart the 3rd member, but both Mike and Dugan (owners) felt it was most like the actuator itself. It was getting power after they re-wired it and I guess there's a way (getting out of my knowledge level) they can see if there actuator is engaging or not. Dugan didn't think the actuator was engaging.

At the time he recommended just a rebuild of the actuator, but after spending $6,ooo bucks at the time it was low on my priority list.

Prior to all of this I engaged the lockers frequently to keep them from sticking, they always worked flawlessly on the trail. The stupid mistake I make was cutting the exhaust in front of the rear axle which burned the wiring loom to the locker. :bang:. Rookie mistake. The other mistake I made was not getting it looked at until probably 3 years later (as mentioned above at ACC). SO the locker went at least a full 3 years without being engaged which is why I think it's merely stuck.

A lot to read to answer a simple question, but like many others in this group, I've tried my best to maintain this truck as a wheeler and DD for 11 years with intention to keep it for even longer.

BTW I forgot to mention it but ACC returned the exhaust back to stock.

Does the fromt to rear seat adjustment still work without the switch cover. Is it fixable?

I assume you're talking about the passenger seat? Yes both seats work flawlessly. Forward/ backward, up/ down etc. The switch came off while I was deployed somewhere and family apparently didn't notice it's absence.

I think I sent a PM but not sure. If not, have a friend who can come check it out. (he works in Marietta). Please e-mail me at user name @gmail.com

Has this always been a GA truck? Do you have the history?

Originally bought as a one owner truck from family friends in Texas where it spent it's first 10 years - Completely stock soccer mom vehicle.
It was in Colorado for the next 4 years. Since then it has remained back in the South.

If rust is a concern there is NO rust on this truck as mentioned I think in the first post minus what you see in the pictures.
